Artist Statement
The art that resonates most with me is that which reveals itself the least. I take great interest in analyzing fragmented strokes and gestures that come together to form highly impactful images. However, the success of these pieces largely relies on the context built around them. Similarly, in my own practice, I strive to create works that contextualize different periods of my life, often depicting this evolution through abstraction.
To connect these works with a broader range of perspectives, I draw on interests of mine that transcend me, like biology, theology, and sociology. Ultimately, my artistic practice serves as a living documentation of my human experience, capturing my direct emotional responses to pivotal moments of my life and how they intertwine with the experiences of those who came before me.
